Privacy Policy
We appreciate your interest in our company. For the management of REINZ-Dichtungs-GmbH, the protection of your privacy has the highest priority. In principle, you can use our web pages without disclosing any personal data. However, if you wish to use special services via our website, processing of your personal data may become necessary. If this is the case and there is no statutory permission, we will always obtain your explicit consent.
All processing of personal data – such as name, address, e-mail address or telephone number – is carried out without exception in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the national data protection laws applicable to REINZ-Dichtungs-GmbH, in particular the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). With this privacy policy, we would like to inform you transparently about the nature, scope and purpose of the data we process and at the same time inform you about your legal rights.
As the controller, we have implemented extensive technical and organizational security measures to protect your data processed via this website as effectively as possible. However, since web-based data transmissions can inherently entail security risks, absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. You are therefore free to send us your data by other means, for example by telephone.
1. Definitions
This privacy policy uses the official terminology of the European legislator from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our aim is to make the text easy to understand for the general public as well as for our business partners. Therefore, we would like to define the most important terms in advance.

d) Restriction of processing
This refers to the marking of stored data with the aim of limiting their future processing.
e) Profiling
This is any form of automated data processing in which personal aspects of a person are evaluated – for example, to analyze or predict work performance, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, behavior or location.
f) Pseudonymization
This describes the processing of data in such a way that it can no longer be assigned to a specific person without additional information. This additional information must be kept separately and securely.
g) Controller
This is the natural or legal person, public authority or agency which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the data processing.
h) Processor
This is an entity that processes personal data on the direct instructions of the controller.
i) Recipient
This is the entity to which personal data is disclosed, regardless of whether it is a third party.
j) Third party
A third party is any entity other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and the persons who, under their direct responsibility, are authorized to process the data.
k) Consent

4. Use of cookies and similar technologies
The website of REINZ-Dichtungs-GmbH uses cookies and similar technologies in accordance with § 25 TDDDG. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser.
According to the provisions of § 25 TDDDG, the storage of information on your device or access to it is generally only permitted with your informed consent. Only technically strictly necessary cookies are exempt from this.
Many websites use cookies, which often contain a so-called cookie ID. This unique string of characters allows servers to distinguish and recognize your browser from others.
Through the use of these technologies, we can offer you user-friendly functions that would otherwise not be possible. They help us to continuously optimize our online offering for your benefit.
You have the option at any time to prevent the setting of cookies in your browser settings or to delete already stored cookies. Please note that if deactivated, not all functions of our website may be fully available.
4.1 Consent Management Tool
To legally obtain and document your preferences regarding cookies and third-party services, we use the open-source consent management tool OIL (Open Source Initiative for Legal Consent). This system ensures that scripts requiring consent (e.g. Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics) are only executed after your active consent. Your decision is stored in a cookie for 90 days. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) lit. c GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) TDDDG.
5. Collection of general access data (log files)
Every time you or an automated system access our website, certain general data is recorded in the server log files. This includes (1) the browser type and version used, (2) the operating system of your device, (3) the website from which you reached us (referrer), (4) the sub-pages accessed, (5) the date and time of access, (6) your IP address, (7) your Internet service provider and (8) comparable data serving to avert danger in the event of IT attacks.
We do not draw any conclusions about your person from this data. Rather, the collection is technically necessary to (1) display our website correctly, (2) optimize the content and advertising measures, (3) permanently ensure IT security and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary information in the event of cyber attacks. These anonymous server log files are stored strictly separately from your other personal data.
6. Registration options
You can register on our website by providing personal data. Which data is collected is determined by the respective input mask. We use this data exclusively internally for our own purposes. If necessary, we commission service providers (e.g. parcel services) who also process this data only on our behalf and for our purposes.
In addition, we store your IP address and the exact time upon registration. This serves our legal protection to prevent misuse and to be able to investigate any criminal offenses. The data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so or it serves criminal prosecution.
Your voluntary registration enables us to offer you special content or services. You can adjust your specified data at any time or have it completely deleted from our system.
Upon request, we will provide you with information about the data stored about you at any time. We will also correct or delete this data at your request, provided there are no statutory retention requirements to the contrary.
7. Newsletter subscription
We offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our company newsletter on our website. The data required for this can be found in the corresponding registration mask.
For the management of the recipient lists and the technical dispatch, we use the service provider mg-l.de / mg-l.com. Your registration data (in particular e-mail address, IP address and time of registration) will be transmitted to this processor and processed there subject to instructions in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. We use our newsletter to inform customers and partners regularly about news. Dispatch only takes place if you provide a valid e-mail address and actively register. For legal reasons, we use the double opt-in procedure, where you must verify your registration via a confirmation link.
For documentation purposes and for legal protection, we store your IP address as well as the date and time of registration upon sign-up.
The collected data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter. You can revoke the subscription and your associated consent at any time with effect for the future. You will find a corresponding unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
8. Success measurement in the newsletter
Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. These invisible miniature graphics allow us to perform log file analyses. This enables us to statistically evaluate whether and when an e-mail was opened and which links were clicked.
These evaluations help us to optimize the dispatch process and better tailor the content to your interests. This data is not passed on to third parties. By unsubscribing from the newsletter, you automatically object to this tracking as well.
9. Contacting us
Due to legal requirements, we provide information on our website for quick electronic contact (e.g. e-mail address). If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, your voluntarily transmitted data will be automatically stored for processing your request. The data is not passed on to third parties.
10. Integration of the TecDoc spare parts catalog
For optimal product presentation, we integrate the TecDoc spare parts catalog of TecAlliance GmbH (ows-cdn.tecdoc.net) in certain areas. When accessing this catalog content, your browser establishes a direct connection to the TecAlliance servers, whereby technical data such as your IP address may be transmitted. This integration is based on our legitimate interest in an up-to-date product catalog pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR. Details on data protection at TecAlliance can be found at www.tecalliance.net.
11. Use of Google Tag Manager
To manage our website tags, we use the Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited. The tool itself does not set cookies and does not collect any personal data of its own, but merely serves to control other tracking technologies. The Tag Manager does not access the collected data. We only use this tool if you have previously given us your explicit consent via our consent management system (Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG).
12. Routine data erasure
We process and store your data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods.
As soon as the storage purpose ceases to apply or a statutory period expires, the data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal requirements.
13. Your rights as a data subject
a) Right to confirmation and access
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we are processing your data. If this is the case, you can obtain free access to this data and a copy of the information at any time.
b) Right to rectification
You can request the immediate rectification of inaccurate or the completion of incomplete personal data.
c) Right to erasure ("Right to be forgotten")
Under certain legal conditions, you have the right to demand the immediate erasure of your data, for example if the data is no longer needed for the original purposes or if you have revoked your consent.
d) Right to restriction of processing
You can request the restriction of processing, for example if you dispute the accuracy of the data or the processing is unlawful.
e) Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the data provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request transmission to another controller.
f) Right to object
You can object to the processing of your data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation, provided this is based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR).
g) Automated decisions and profiling
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you.
h) Right to withdraw consent
You can withdraw any consent granted under data protection law at any time with effect for the future.
14. Data protection in the application procedure
We process the data of applicants exclusively for the purpose of handling the application process, including electronically (e.g. via e-mail or web form). If an employment contract is concluded, the data will be stored for the employment relationship. If the application does not lead to employment, the documents will be deleted no later than 6 months after notification of the rejection, provided no other legitimate interests (such as burden of proof under the General Equal Treatment Act) oppose this.
15. Use of Facebook
Components of the social network Facebook are integrated on our website. A social network enables users to communicate on the Internet and interact in a virtual space.
Facebook is operated in Europe by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. If data is transmitted to the parent company Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA, this is done on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which the company is certified.
Further details on data processing by Facebook can be found in their data policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
16. Web analysis with Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on this website as a web analysis service to evaluate user behavior. We record, among other things, the website from which you came to us, which sub-pages you access and how long you stay there.
The operating company is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We have activated IP anonymization (_gat._anonymizeIp). This means your IP address is truncated within the EU or the EEA prior to transmission.
Should data be transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), for which Google LLC is certified (https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov). Google evaluates the data on our behalf to compile reports on website activities.
The use of Google Analytics takes place exclusively if you have given us your consent via our consent management tool (Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time.
In addition, you can prevent data collection by Google by installing the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
17. Google AdWords / Google Ads
We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our offers in Google search results and in the advertising network.
The service is provided in Europe by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data transfers to the USA are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The goal is to display advertising relevant to your interests.
If you reach our website via a Google ad, Google sets a conversion cookie that expires after 30 days and does not serve to identify you personally.
Further details can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
18. Integration of YouTube videos
We embed videos from the YouTube portal on our website. To protect your data as best as possible, we exclusively use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) for this. As a result, YouTube only stores information about you when you actively play the video. Any data transfers to Google LLC in the USA take place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
19. Legal bases of processing
Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR serves as our legal basis when we obtain your consent. If processing is necessary for the performance or initiation of a contract, we rely on Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR. In the case of legal obligations (e.g. taxes), Art. 6(1) lit. c GDPR applies. Furthermore, processing operations may be based on Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR if they are necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.
For the use of cookies and similar technologies, § 25(1) TDDDG (for services requiring consent) or § 25(2) TDDDG (for technically necessary services) is additionally authoritative.
20. Legitimate interests
Our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR lies in the execution and optimization of our business activities.
21. Storage period
We generally only store personal data for as long as required by statutory retention periods. Afterwards, it is routinely deleted, provided it is no longer required for contractual purposes.
22. Provision of data
We point out that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax law) or by contract. Failure to provide data may result in a contract not being concluded.
23. Waiver of automated decision-making
As a responsible company, we do not use fully automated decision-making or profiling.
