Multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder-head gaskets

innovative sealing solutions for new engine designs

Increasing torque and performance with decreasing consumption and emissions. The development goals in engine construction determine the requirements of modern gasket systems. As a leader in technology, an original equipment manufacturer transfers all of his expertise, experience and quality into the replacement parts business. With a broad product palette, VICTOR REINZ supplies cylinder head gaskets for all conventional passenger car and commercial vehicle engines.

Cylinder-head bolts

Cylinder-head bolts guarantee a secure and releasable joint. However, this does not mean that the same bolt can be reused for the same application. When reassembling a cylinder head, always make sure to use new head bolts. The result will be a high sealing pressure for a reliable and tight joint.

Make sure to use head bolts exclusively from quality manufacturers. Victor Reinz cylinder-head bolts comply with all manufacturer specifications, and are matched perfectly to our head gasket sets. Of course, the torquing guidelines are always supplied – available in 12 languages.

Sealants

The »Big Duo« of sealants is all you’ll ever need

Extremely high stability at high temperatures

REINZOSIL is a solvent-free, permanently elastic, fast-hardening silicon sealant for sealing flat surfaces where there is a sealing gap (can also be applied to assembled components).
REINZOSIL-t is the transparent version of REINZOSIL.

Does not crack under pressure

REINZOPLAST is a solvent-free, permanently plastic, non-hardening, polyurethane sealant with high viscosity, for highly-stressed sealing joints without a sealing gap, such as joints that are subject to vibrations.

Gasket materials – Just seal it!

Old gasket useless, and no replacement available? No problem – simply make a new one yourself. Select the most suitable material for your sealing needs from four different types. The application table provides information about which material can be used where and under which conditions.
Next, you make an impression of your sealing surface, then get your tools – and you‘re ready to go.

Oil seals

The most important types of dynamic seals are oil seals for use on rotating shafts, and valve stem seals for reducing the flow of oil through the cylinder-head into the combustion chamber.
In addition to simple oil seals and integrated radial oil seals, VICTOR REINZ offers a new generation of PTFE radial oil seals.

A Perfect Combination – Oil Seals and PTFE

The advantages of PTFE technology set new standards in the development of oil seals.
Modern engine concepts require solutions for dynamic seals, which are able to withstand the high loads lastingly. Thanks to outstanding properties, PTFE meets these demands - the best prerequisites for series use in modern engines.

Valve stem seals

As with shaft seals, VICTOR REINZ offers the entire line of valve stem seals from single valve stem seals designed as sleeves in a wide range of materials to integrated valve stem seals. With this design, the seal and valve spring seat are combined into a single component. After installation, the valve stem seal is easily and securely fixed in the engine by the valve spring.

Turbocharger-Mounting-Kits

VICTOR REINZ Turbocharger Add-on Kits are the perfect solution for the replacement of turbochargers. Complete add-on kits, containing the gaskets and replacement parts, and ensuring efficient and professional results.

The proven expertise in gaskets at Dana, combined with the experience of the leading turbocharger experts, sets new standards for turbocharger add-on kits with VICTOR REINZ original quality.

Valve Cover Gaskets

Cylinder head cover gaskets withstand high and low temperatures to provide a reliable seal with minimal tightening.
Dana only uses high-quality rubbers to satisfy the tough demands.

Cylinder head cover gaskets are increasingly produced with profiles and not flat; that is, the gasket surface is provided with beads or lips. Now, instead of the entire gasket surface, only the profile needs to be pressed, that is, the sealing bead or sealing lip, and just a slight amount of bolting force produces sufficient deformation and adaptation.

Intake manifold gasket

Modern sealing systems have to deal with more aggressive media, higher temperatures, lower component strength and higher deformation under mechanical stress. This is why primarily elastomer gaskets made of high quality rubber are used in the intake area.

Exhaust manifold gasket

Exhaust manifold gaskets require metal beads where the gas passes through at very high temperatures and low pressure. These metal beads are always reinforced with metal sheets to resist the component movement that arises from large fluctuations in temperature. Modern exhaust manifold gaskets are made of uncoated, beaded multilayer steel (MLS). The number of sheet metal layers depends on the distortion of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head components. Leaks in the exhaust manifold produce bad exhaust values, a loss of power and increased fuel consumption.
